Aerial filming - Downpatrick Railway Museum

27 Aug 2014

Downpatrick Railway Museum was our location for aerial filming of an up and coming six part series for the BBC. The series, which features the history of railways in Northern Ireland will be broadcast from Sept 22nd. Barra Best takes the challange with his first series as presenter and he does a fantastic job may I add.

Our involvement was to film low level aerials using our UAV, as we followed the steam locomotive along the railway track from Downpatrick to Inch Abbey, stopping at various locations. Once again the wind was a challange but thankfully both copter and Movi gimbal responded to every input even though we were carrying the broadcast quality C300.

For us the delightful experience will be remembered for a long time.
