Construction time-lapse of Crockbarravally Windfarm, Northern Ireland
AGR-Group | Positive Energy, have embarked upon their first windfarm installation in Northern Ireland, at a site located close to Ballygawley. We were absolutly delighted to have been awarded the contract to record the works at the newly appointed site.
The commission, to be covered over a period of 8 weeks, required the installation of a long term timelapse camera, placed in a strategic position where the construction of three turbines could be documented. A number of site visits were also required to record events close-up and in greater detail. A huge part of the contract was the importance on being available at very short notice to be on site and at any time of the day.
The process of recording timelapse photography commenced during August 2016 when we installed the first timelapse camera. Thereafter numerous day visits were planned to coincide with important events, such as pouring the base, arrival of turbines and of course the erection of the nacelle and blades. Some of the events took several days to photograph, long days which extended into darkness to allow for calm conditions for the lifts.
In conjunction with stakeholders, project managers and contractors we added aerial coverage, dynamic timelapse scenes and HD video sequences to complete the video you are about to see.
