Dawn breaks over Belfast
This morning we were on the road well before dawn to start a new timelapse project in St Georges Market, Belfast. Constructed during the 1890's the market still remains one of Irelands oldest market places, opening on Friday - Sunday. The forecast suggested for a stunning sun rise to show this lovely brick building in all its fineary. But the sun wasn't to be needless to say we were a little disappointed with the low cloud and light mizzle. Was the day over before it started ? - maybe not.
Just as I was packing our kit away there was a break in the cloud and for a few seconds the city was lit with the most spectecular sun burst. Part of the T/L included the surrounding area. This apartment block is a few 100yds away. It was worth the effort of the early rise to capture such a stunning image, don't you think.
At least we did get inside before the rain and wind picked up. Over the day we shot many photographs, met, spoke and made many friends but above all the experience and atmosphere was electric, with the Apex jazz band enteraining a full house.
If you haven't been there yet we suggest that this venue is well worth the time, especially on a Sunday.
