Commercial digital image licence

By purchasing and downloading this photograph, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide and perpetual commercial licence to use the image in accordance with the terms below.

Permitted use

The photograph may be used by the purchaser for their own business, commercial, editorial and promotional purposes, including:

Websites and other digital platforms
Social media and online marketing
Digital and printed advertising
Brochures, leaflets, catalogues and promotional literature
Editorial and corporate publications
Presentations, reports and business communications
Signage, exhibitions and displays
Other marketing and promotional material relating to the purchaser’s business or organisation

The photograph may be resized, cropped or subject to reasonable colour or layout adjustments where necessary for the permitted use.

Restrictions

The licence does not permit you to:

Sell, resell, sublicense, redistribute, share or otherwise make the original digital image file available to another person or organisation.
Upload or distribute the image through stock photography libraries, image libraries, file-sharing services or similar platforms.
Sell or distribute the photograph as a standalone digital download, print, poster or other photographic reproduction.
Use the photograph on merchandise or products intended for resale where the photograph forms a significant part of the product’s value or appeal.
Claim ownership or authorship of the photograph.
Use the photograph as, or as part of, a trademark, logo or registered brand identity.
Use the photograph for any unlawful, defamatory, misleading or deceptive purpose.

Designers, printers and other contractors

You may provide the image to employees, designers, printers, web developers, advertising agencies and other contractors where this is reasonably necessary to produce material on your behalf.

Any third party receiving the image may use it solely for work undertaken on your behalf. They may not retain the image for their own use or sell, licence, redistribute or use it for another client or purpose.

Copyright and ownership

Purchasing and downloading the photograph does not transfer copyright or ownership of the image. It grants you a licence to use the photograph only in accordance with these terms.

The photographer retains the right to use the photograph and to licence the same photograph to other customers.

Licence duration and territory

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the commercial licence is:

Worldwide – there is no geographical restriction on permitted use.

Perpetual – there is no expiry date, provided the image continues to be used in accordance with these licence terms.

Non-exclusive – the same photograph may be licensed to other customers.

Non-transferable – the licence is granted solely to the individual, business or organisation purchasing the image and may not be transferred to another party.

Extended and exclusive licensing

The standard commercial licence does not include:

Products or merchandise intended for resale
Sale of prints or reproductions of the photograph
Sublicensing or redistribution
Exclusive use of the photograph
Transfer of copyright or ownership
